Platinum Sponsor Trelleborg to Open the LNG Ship/Shore Interface Conference

Date: 28-29 November 2019 | Venue: London, UK

Platinum
sponsor, Trelleborg’s marine and infrastructure operation, will deliver the
welcoming address and exhibit at the LNG Ship/Shore Interface Conference in
London, UK (28-29 November).
The
two-day conference will bring together Europe’s LNG transportation supply chain
to discuss ship and terminal operations at the jetty, offshore and bunker
station. At the conference, Dave Pendleton, Managing Director of Trelleborg’s
marine and infrastructure operation (UK), will discuss the growth of LNG
applications and the need for the driving of an industry that increases asset
flexibility and reduces OPEX and CAPEX (10:55 AM, 28 November).
Trelleborg
will exhibit its Universal Safety Link (USL), which takes the company’s
expertise in large-scale LNG transfer applications, develops it and applies it
to provide an optimized solution for the small and mid-scale LNG sectors. In
addition to the USL, delegates will also be able to learn about Trelleborg’s
Ship-Shore Link (SSL) technology that has set the industry standard in
large-scale LNG transfer for over 20 years.
Richard
Hepworth, President of Trelleborg’s marine and infrastructure operation, said:
“The volume of LNG continues to grow, and so too does the breadth of LNG
applications. LNGC, FSRU, FLNG and LNG fueling are all leading to increased
demand for LNG. Each of these challenging areas requires assets to be as
flexible as possible to optimize their returns in these markets. LNGCs need the
ability to call at any LNG terminal to load or discharge a cargo. FSRUs need to
be able to dock at any CNG terminal with ease and begin providing power, while
an FSU may or may not be moored alongside and then trade as an LNGC if
required. LNG Bunker barges need to be capable of calling in at a large-scale
terminal to replenish and then service any number of LNG-fueled vessels.
“The LNG
Ship/Shore Interface Conference provides the perfect platform for the industry
to collectively discuss the many challenges across the LNG industry and the
innovative ways in which manufacturers like Trelleborg are tackling them head
on.”
