Before you start using your Trelleborg food hose:
- Fill hose with hot water (+ 70 °C to + 80 °C).
- Keep water inside for minimum 12 hours.
- Then, clean hose using any of the following cleaning processes.
Nitric acid (HNO3) or product with additional nitric acid.Maximum concentration: 0.1 % at 85°C3 % at room temperature
Chlorine (Cl) or product with additional chlorine.Maximum concentration: 1 % at maximum 70°C
Sodium hydroxide (NaOH) or product with additional sodium hydroxide.Maximum concentration: 2 % from 60°C to 80°C5 % at room temperature
Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) or product with additional hydrogen peroxide.Maximum concentration: 3 % at room temperatureMILLESIME only: 1.5 % at maximum 85°C
Cleaning cycle must be immediately followed by a complete rinse
It is recommended to carry out regular checks on the hose (cover and tube) to make sure it is still safe of use as its original properties will eventually alter upon usage.
