Clermont-Ferrand’s industrial sector has a new meeting place: Hall 32
A 13000-square-meter, 30-million-euro facility five years in the making, Hall 32 incorporates an exhibition space, technical school, and a state-of-the-art research and development laboratory. Hall 32 was dedicated September 13 by Muriel Pénicaud, the French Labor minister, local school officials, and representatives of local companies, including Trelleborg.

Hall 32 is intended to be a place to train the next generation of Clermont-Ferrand’s technical talent in manufacturing, maintenance, and process engineering, display the latest products and initiatives of local companies, and give local innovators a place to work together to meet common challenges.

In addition to Madame Pénicaud’s speech, the opening ceremony included the first showing of a video Trelleborg employees had made to showcase Trelleborg’s own Clermont-Ferrand facility. “People were impressed with our immersive video, which gave them a very clear picture of how we develop and manufacture our products,” said Alain Guillon.
