One Young World Summit: developing our young talents
The One Young World Summit is an annual event gathering the brightest young professionals and leaders from around the world. They meet and interact for three days about how to achieve a positive future, highlighting topics such as sustainability, the climate challenge, human rights, gender equality, innovation, corporate responsibility and much more. The 2018 edition of the Summit recently took place in The Hague, the Netherlands.
As an employer that strives to develop and inspire our young leaders, Trelleborg is proud to have been a supporter and participant of this year’s One Young World Summit. The global event gathered around 1,800 young leaders from more than 190 countries. In previous years, before his passing, former UN Secretary Kofi Annan was a key speaker. This year’s list of speakers included Professor Muhammad Yunus, Founder of Grameen Bank and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate; Sir John Major, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Bob Geldof, activist and musician.
