I joined Trelleborg Sealing Solutions in Tewkesbury, UK, in March 2015 as an unemployed environmental Masters graduate, filling a receptionist role. It was in this position where I first learned the importance of networking and communication. Within six months I was accepted on to Trelleborg’s Graduate Programme, and secured a six-month international placement at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions in Malta, supporting the Managing Director.
This opportunity developed my key skills and gave me confidence to chase my passion and push for a second six-month international placement at the Head Office in Trelleborg, Sweden. In my role as a Sustainability & Manufacturing Excellence Analyst I worked closely with the Vice Presidents of Corporate Responsibility and Manufacturing Excellence, and helped produce Trelleborg’s 2016 Corporate Responsibility Report.
As the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) officer role is a new position to Trelleborg Sealing Solutions in Tewkesbury, I am constantly challenged and developed as my role touches new territory every day. I rely on good communication to ensure buy-in from all levels on site.
Throughout my Trelleborg journey I have advanced myself and my career by being agile and adaptable. Developing my emotional intelligence has undoubtedly been my biggest learning since joining the company.
