Trelleborg provides local support in China - Trelleborg IAVS

The Trelleborg Industrial AVS facility is fully equipped to produce a wide range of high quality Metalastik® and Novibra® branded parts, offering customers in the region improved lead times and all the advantages of local content.

 

Paul Race, UK Plant Manager commented “Since 2004 manufacturing of Trelleborg IAVS products has taken place in another Trelleborg plant in China, but this is our first totally dedicated local manufacturing facility. It operates to exactly the same procedures and high standards as our manufacturing site in the UK. Processes are identical, the local employees are highly skilled and motivated, and have been trained by engineers from the UK who continue to monitor and support standards.”

The facility, designed to cope with growing demand in the region, is co-located alongside another group manufacturing operation. It houses a metal preparation line, spray line, Rep Tung Yu 2-litre injection presses and a fully-equipped finishing area. All staff are Chinese nationals and the facility has a floor area of 1200 m2.

 

The Wuxi manufacturing plant will work closely with the Shanghai office of Trelleborg Industrial AVS, which offers a full applications, engineering and design service to the leading regional Original Equipment Manufacturers particularly for the rail and marine industries, mobile construction equipment and heavy industrial vehicles.
