Trelleborg Exhibits High Performance Tyres, Digital Tools and Games at EIMA 2014

Trelleborg will be showcasing its extensive portfolio of tyres and complete wheel systems at leading agricultural exhibition, EIMA 2014 in Bologna, Italy, from November 12 to 16 on stand A5, Hall 14.

Taking centre stage on Trelleborg’s 500 square meter stand will be the company’s latest product innovation, the IF 900/65R46 TM1000 High Power tyre. The TM1000 High Power will be suspended on stand over an ant, to replicate the advertising campaign for the tyre, the slogan of which is ‘Trelleborg, 500 hundred kilograms of lightness’. This highlights the footprint of the tyre; the widest on the market, it provides optimum pressure distribution. With the utmost respect for the soil, the TM1000 High Power protects land from compaction, boosting productivity and ensuring higher crop yields. Moreover, it’s reduced rolling resistance results in low fuel consumption and emissions, helping to produce more in a sustainable way.

Paolo Pompei, President Business Unit Agricultural & Forestry Tyres, Trelleborg comments: “At Trelleborg, we hold a long-standing commitment to helping farming professionals produce more with less. We are looking forward to bringing our comprehensive range of high performance solutions to EIMA. These solutions, such as the ProgressiveTraction™ concept, have been specifically designed to boost productivity and efficiency for future farming operations while also reducing operating costs and the overall environmental footprint.”

Trelleborg’s stand will also include an area dedicated to its innovative ProgressiveTraction™ tyre, a concept of agricultural tyres specifically designed to improve farming efficiency thanks to a double lug. Operating on the soil at different times, the double lug progressively releases higher traction where and when required.

The ProgressiveTraction™ tyre will feature during “Antarctica 2014”, a widely anticipated tractor expedition to the South Pole, which is to be held this month. A tyre with premium floatation that enhances pressure distribution on the ground and provides superior traction, was required to guarantee reduced fuel consumption, higher grip, increased driver comfort and better handling in the demanding conditions of Antarctica.

“In addition, we will display our TM3000 range of tyres specifically developed for harvesting applications and the TH400 Agro Industrial radial range of tyres for telescopic handlers, backhoes and mini loaders,” continues Pompei.

“EIMA 2014 provides the ideal platform to showcase the potential of our range of agricultural tyre solutions. As such, we’ll be publishing the exceptional results that can be achieved by all our latest tyre solutions in our product leaflets, as well as our app, the Tire iBrochure. With several tablets on stand, visitors will have access to both the product leaflets and Tire iBrochure.”

Trelleborg will have a designated area providing visitors with access to its advanced, user-friendly digital tools, including the recently launched ‘Tire Efficiency’ app for use on iOS and Android tablets. Based on the concept of the total cost of ownership, the intuitive and user-friendly app measures the benefits provided by a set of Trelleborg tyres for one axle both in terms of cost savings and reduced working time over one year of operation.

Just launched, Trelleborg will showcase the new ‘Farming Simulator 15’ video game, providing young farmers with the opportunity to take on the challenges of modern agriculture, while making themselves familiar with Trelleborg tyres across a range of applications.
