Trelleborg’s TM1000 ProgressiveTraction® Wins Best Agricultural Tire for 2019
TM1000 ProgressiveTraction® from Trelleborg was awarded the prize for “Best Agricultural Tire” at the Hevea Tire Industry Awards 2019, held at the North Convention Center of the Madrid Fair Institution (IFEMA), in Madrid, Spain, on January 9, 2020.
The Hevea Awards had 19 categories in 2019 that highlighted outstanding participants across the tire industry. TM1000 ProgressiveTraction® from Trelleborg was named as the “Best Agricultural Tire” with more than 38.2% of the votes, ahead of the second place tire with 19.7%.

The second edition of the 'Hevea Awards', sponsored and organized by EuroPneus, the Spanish magazine, which specializes in tires for all professionals in the sector, aims to value and recognize the work done by those that are part of the automotive and specialty tires aftermarket industry. This revolves around the tire, a vital part of safety and the environment.
The ProgressiveTraction® tread design was conceived to tackle the requirements of the latest generation of machinery, increasing power transmission efficiency to the ground while reducing soil compaction. At the same time, the double-edge-lug tread design was developed to reduce vibration, lowering energy dissipation, minimizing fuel consumption, as well as extending service life. Testing revealed that the tire has achieved up to 3% less fuel consumption and up to 5% longer tire service life.
