Trelleborg Receives SES ‘Green Excellence’ Award
Reaffirming its commitment to raising the bar in sustainability and environmental responsibility, the Trelleborg Wheels Systems facility in Liepaja, Latvia, has been awarded the State Environmental Service’s (SES) ‘Green Excellence Award’. 

Awarded by Kaspars Gerhards, Minister of Environmental Protection and Regional Development (MEPRD) and Inga Koļegova, Director General of the SES, the accolade recognizes and honors companies and authorities that not only achieve the highest of environmental standards and regulations, but proactively mitigate the environmental impact of its operations. The honor ensures Trelleborg will hold SES environmental certification for three years. 

Liene Giertmane-Done, Manager of the Trelleborg manufacturing facility in Liepaja, commented: “We are delighted to have been recognized so enthusiastically by one of the most prestigious measures of environmental performance. To receive the SES ‘Green Excellence Award’ is an exceptional achievement, and is testament to Trelleborg’s commitment to not only enhancing the environmental efficiencies of our operations, but continually developing innovative solutions that increase customer value.”

In combination with Trelleborg’s accreditation to ISO 9001, the international standard for quality, the company’s Environmental Management System is certified to the BS EN ISO 14001 environment management standard; while it also achieves BS OHSAS 18001, which sets out the minimum requirements for occupational health and safety management best practice.

The Trelleborg Wheels Systems facility in Liepaja produces a wide range of high-quality rims for agricultural and forestry machinery, ranging from three to 16 inches in diameter.
