Trelleborg AFANION and Rasiga brightened Christmas for children
Ramón Martínez, Country Manager Spain and Portugal at Trelleborg says: “Trelleborg in Spain has taken on a new challenge for Christmas 2020: to sow joy outside the countryside. In a time marked by universal wishes for good health and happiness, the brand has decided to take action and to brighten the holidays of families with children battling cancer. Forty children received a radio-controlled replica of a 1:16 scale FENDT 1050 tractor, fitted with Trelleborg tires.”
The award-winning AFANION association coordinated this initiative with Rasiga, directed by Ramón Anibal and managed by Francisco José Sevilla. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, AFANION aims to raise awareness of children and adolescents living with cancer and to improve their quality of life.
Ramón Martínez added: “In these days around Christmas, which coincides with the sowing season, we are delighted to be able to bring a bit of joy to these children who so much deserve and need it. We are aware of and applaud the great work that AFANION does to support children and families struggling to overcome cancer, a task that we wanted to support during the holidays.”
Francisco Tejedor de Pablo, Marketing Manager Spain and Portugal at Trelleborg, concluded: "The future of our agriculture cannot be understood without our children, and for this reason, it is important to be by their side to help them get through difficult times."
The AFANION association organized the delivery of the radio-controlled tractors and distribute them between hospitals and nearby homes during the month of December.
