Firestop is a passive fire protection material designed to protect personnel and equipment by minimizing fire escalation, providing time to evacuate people, close down critical equipment, and for responders to gain control of the fire.
The certified rubber-based material has been tested to withstand a blast up to 2.1 bars and protects structures from exceeding critical temperature limits. The dampening and noise reducing flexible nature of Firestop provides excellent protection of equipment from vibrations, impact, explosions and earthquakes.
Firestop is used in all of our Odin passive fire protection solutions, and can be supplied in a variety of material combinations to meet specific requirements which can include fire protection against Hydrocarbon fires, jet fires and missile blasts, c corrosion and HISC protection, mechanical protection, thermal mitigation and antifouling.
