Production Process
Based on a total capacity of 90,000 tons per year and the flexibility of 14 different mixing lines, Trelleborg Mixing & Material can offer a high level of quality and service. We operate all major sizes of mixers, thereby creating a variety of possibilities. The size of the mixers goes from 54 liters up to 620 liters. The mixers are combined with the full range of mills and strainers as well as all different types of packaging presentation.
The combination of large, automated mixing lines and smaller, more flexible machines makes it possible for us to offer the market large, running volumes and smaller volumes of special compounds. We can adapt the customer's material to the right mixer, put together the most cost-effective solution and, at the same time, guarantee quality.
Regardless of whether the customer requires large or small volumes of rubber compounds we can offer a competitive solution based on our large purchasing volumes of raw material and an automated production process.
Additionally, one of our mixing lines is used for non-black compounds and is therefore totally separated from the carbon black process. With this machine, we have experience from working with more then 50 different colors.
We use “MixCont” in our production, which is one of the most advanced systems in Europe for production control of rubber compounds. Through this system, we can maintain a high level of quality and homogeneity for our compounds. Automated weighing of chemicals and computerized control of the mixing cycle eliminates variations and guarantees good dispersion and distribution for each batch produced.
All compounds are tested before delivery. A standard feature is that density, hardness and rheometer are always tested. We can also offer other testing types according to customer demands.
