Reducing the risk of fire hazard is a vital yet challenging part of designing an engineering oil and gas installation. Firestop is a passive fire protection material, designed to protect people and equipment by minimizing fire escalation, providing time to evacuate people, close down critical equipment, and for responders to gain control of the fire.
The certified rubber-base material has been tested to withstand a blast of up to 2.1 bars, and protects structures from exceeding critical temperature limits. The damping and noise reducing flexible nature of Firestop provides excellent protection of equipment from vibrations, impact, explosions and earthquakes.
Firestop is used in all of our Odin passive fire protection solutions and can be supplied in a variety of material combinations to meeting specific project requirements. This can include fire protection from Hydrocarbon fires, jet fires and missile blasts, corrosion and HISC protection, mechanical protection, thermal mitigation and antifouling.
