Press-on solid Range

Press-on Solids – also known as Cushion tires – consist of a cylindrical or conical steel band or steel wire on to which rubber is curved.
Generally P.O.S. tires consist of a single layer of rubber although special two layer versions are available.
 
 
 
 
 
POS Tires construction:
  • Cylindrical steelband, normal thickness 10mm
  • Rubber tread layer bond to steelband
  • Low cross-section height

Shape of tread cross- section:

  • round crown profile
  • flat profile

Advantages round crown profile:

the good contact area offers better riding quality and good load stability

Advantages flat profile:

a greater contact area with work surface, offering better load distribution and increased stability.
