A biasbelted tire is stiff, strong and durable thanks to its strong sidewalls.
A diagonal tire has a simple structure.The different ply cord layers extend to the beads and are laid at alternate angles less than 90 degrees to the centre-line of the tread.

The carcass is stiff, strong and durable. It is also exposed to high internal tensions during the rolling. A cross-ply tire:

  • is good in rough terrain and uneven surfaces
  • has strong sidewalls
  • has good lateral stability
