The rapid evolution of modern material handling equipment is creating a major wind of change in the requirements for solid tires. Trelleborg decided to take action and respond to this market trend: the result is a new range of resilient tires - ELITE XP - born under the historical Bergougnan brand.
Our R&D department developed the new tire using state of the art technology and applying a new design concept named CDM (Controlled Deformation matrix). This technology permits control of the internal deformation under load, under variable speed and acceleration conditions.
The new range fully complies with ETRTO standards and is of course an OEM approved product through extensive field testing on various types of handling equipment, industrial trailers, excavators, etc.
Elite XP is available in Standard and in LOC versions to allow for the best productivity and time efficiency.
Trelleborg managed to reduce tire wear through new construciton design and rubber compund recipies: ELITE XP today permits up to 15% more lifetime thanks to the larger contact area and the deeper tread, allowing maximum tire life.
The deformation control under any working condition reduces heat build-up by 15%. This reduces the risk of tire failures.
The R&D focused its efforts on how to optimize energy consumption since in modern industry, reducing fuelling needs means both a saving in terms of money (fuell) and increased availability time of equipment. The result is a 13% better energy efficiency.
Stability is important in any working condition, especially in tight turns, hard breaking or sudden changes of directions. ELITE XP ensures the best performance thanks to optimal lateral stability, a larger contact area and higher damping capacity.
ELITE XP compound anticipates the prescriptions of EU directive 2005/69/EC concerning the elimination of hazardous components in the industrial processes.
