Trelleborg Wheel Systems, great success at CeMAT 2011
20 May 2011
Trelleborg Wheel Systems presented the best of its high-quality tires and complete wheel solutions in hall 25, stand D19 at the CeMAT show in Hannover, Germany (2-6 May, 2011).
Main innovations presented during the show included a report issued by TUV comparing wear performance between Elite XP vs. competition Conti SC20, the endorsement campaign with Toyota, Mitsubishi, Yale and Hyster and the official introduction of WATTS tires range.
“ELITE XP BUILT TO LAST” was the head line of the display dedicated to the wear comparison test.
The aim of the test, carried out in conjunction with the German certification organisation TÜV SUD Automotive, was to evaluate the tread wear characteristics of solid industrial tires under heavy duty service operation.
For this purpose Trelleborg’s Elite XP and the Continental SC 20 were chosen to perform the test.
The comparison took place during March 2011 at the Istituto Sperimentale Auto e Motori SpA (ISAM) motor centre in Anagni, Frosinone, Italy, where a test area of 50,000m2 was set up.
Based on the results,Trelleborg Elite XP showed a greater resistance to wear than the Continental SC 20 and, therefore it is likely to last longer.
Trelleborg’s top-quality products and their performance under test show that premium tyres are often, in fact, by far the cheapest option for the end users and achieve the lowest possible total cost of ownership.
“TRELLEBORG THE FIRST CHOICE” was the endorsement campaign theme. The Aim of the campaign is to strengthen Trelleborg brand awareness and to show the strong business relationship which exists between Trelleborg and the main Forklift truck manufacturers.
Presented during the exhibition, the campaign was really well perceived by visitors and customers; Trelleborg was the only industrial tire manufacturer presenting itself together with the manufacturers in such a strong way.
This is the first step of a new communication collaboration.
For the first time since the announced acquisition,Trelleborg officially displayed the Watts tire range as part of its offer to the market; customer reactions and comments clearly indicated that the recent acquisition is seen as a step in the right direction which, in the end, will only generate benefits for them.
Trelleborg, with CeMAT’s best tire stand in terms of visibility, design impact and dimension, reinforced its image communicating to customers and visitors important messages as to product quality and strong relationships with machine manufacturers. Trelleborg’s participation to CeMAT 2011 was definitely a great success.
CeMAT is the most important and international Material Handling exhibition held in Europe.
