Trelleborg strengthens US Pipe Repair Team

Trelleborg Supports Growing Pipe Seals Demand in the USA with an Expanded Team

Trelleborg’s pipe seals operation has strengthened its support team in America with the addition of four new personnel in sales and engineering. This is in response to increasing demand for improved water and wastewater infrastructure across the U.S.

Mark Yanzo joins the company as National Sales Manager, alongside two new Regional Sales Managers, Andrew Marshall and Tyler Welmon, responsible for the Mid-Atlantic and West Coast respectively. Robert Catlin joins as Process Engineer.

Tim Sparrow, Director of Sales - Americas, Trelleborg’s pipe seals operation, says; “The climate in Western America and in California specifically, is extreme and the area is subject to regular drought-deluge cycles that make water management difficult. Every drop of water counts, and when you consider that 82% of Cast Iron Pipes are over 50 years old, and the pipes are experiencing a 43% increase in break rates1, it means there is a need to markedly improve water systems. As a result, municipalities across the region have turned their focus to repairing aging water and wastewater infrastructure as a priority.

“To ensure municipalities and water utilities have access to industry-leading advice and solutions, we have bolstered our team with the appointment of three new sales managers and an engineer within the region. We have built a strong team with a range of technical and commercial skills to meet rising market demand and support decision makers in constructing an efficient network that will be watertight for a minimum of 25 years.”

Mark Yanzo brings with him more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience, with previous positions at industrial manufacturing companies. Mark will focus on supporting the rehabilitation market in North America, using his thorough understanding of technical sales management and ability to build strong relationships to help customers identify fit for purpose solutions.

Andrew Marshall takes responsibility for the key territory of Bethesda, Maryland. Tyler Welmon will focus on supporting customers and prospects in California, as well as defining the market all along the West Coast. Robert Catlin joins Trelleborg’s pipe seals engineering department as a Process Engineer.
