Trelleborg’s pipe seals operation has secured IAPMO approval for its range of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) systems for use as trenchless sanitary and storm sewer rehabilitation products.
Following stringent product testing, IAPMO, the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials recognized and approved the epros® DrainLining, DrainLCR, DrainMtH and DrainPacker CIPP solutions for use in residential and commercial applications.
The approval supports Trelleborg’s commitment to providing easy-to-install rehabilitation systems that extend the life of existing wastewater infrastructure, using the latest technical and material advances.
Tim Sparrow, Head of Sales Pipe Rehabilitation for Trelleborg’s pipe seals operation in North America, says: “Across the U.S., existing infrastructure, including water and wastewater networks, is aging. This is causing the failure rates of pipes and inefficiency of networks to increase. When it comes to remedial work, plumbing contractors need to invest in systems that comply with the relevant plumbing codes and minimize inconvenience to residential and commercial users.
“Having IAPMO approval for our range of CIPP solutions provides additional reassurance to our customers in both the residential and commercial rehabilitation sectors that the products they are using are fit for purpose. This independent evaluation confirms that our technology and materials are of the highest quality and meet all the required international standards and plumbing codes, ensuring the contractors work and reputation is watertight.
“Our innovative systems, such as the DrainPlusLiner 2.0, are purposely designed to be installer-friendly, multi-functional and enable a single liner to cover all the challenges of pipe configuration and internal diameter.”
