Who are you?
Carsten Hindersmann, 43, Key Account Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH).
How long have you worked in this position and what are your key duties?
I have been in this position since 2015 and I am responsible for working together with concrete manufacturers and distributors to develop a sustainable growth in the region.
What do you like about working with Trelleborg?
Working for Trelleborg means working in an international environment with a local vibe, and I really like working within the friendly and motivational atmosphere. Trelleborg also lets us have space for individual development within all business areas.
What are the key challenges you face in your job?
There are a lot of challenges. It is important to gain customer loyalty and in highly-competitive markets such as ours, it is hard work to hold the trust of our customers against low prices.
Working in one of the most competitive markets worldwide, also means that one needs to constantly conduct market overviews and predict what the customers will require as quickly as possible, so as to raise the bar.
How is business in your area is evolving? How are you preparing for this?
In my opinion, Trelleborg has the right strategy in order to grow together with our customers. Thanks to internal and external training sessions, I am also able to improve in my position as Key Account Manager.
What do you do in your free time?
I enjoy spending most of my free time with my wonderful family. I also love skiing, surfing and other outdoor activities.
