Buckling Mitigation Buoyancy - Subsea Buoyancy - Subsea - Trelleborg Offshore

Buckling Mitigation Buoyancy

Buckling arises when pipelines move from their original installed position on the seabed. The movements can cause high compression forces, bending moments and shear forces that affect the pipeline integrity. To relieve these stresses, the pipelines natural response would be to buckle. Adding discrete elements of buoyancy to the pipeline can help influence the movement and to mitigate this buckling.
