Trelleborg’s offshore operation will showcase its latest developments in subsea insulation and flowline protection solutions, at next month’s Subsea Tieback exhibition in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Located on stand 1,228, the organization will demonstrate a number of subsea flow control innovations, including its high performance Vikotherm™ insulation materials and advancements in its flowline protection solution, T-Strake.

“Similarly, in increasingly rougher seas, the issue of vortex induced vibration is a growing concern. We designed our T-Strake flowline protection to suppress the effects of these vibrations on pipes to avoid damage and downtime.

Trelleborg’s Vikotherm™ S1 is made from non-syntactic silicone and can be cured at room temperature without exposure to air, making it resistant to cracking and shrinking. The Vikotherm™ R2 offers improved elasticity, as well as enhanced process and manufacturing flexibility, as the system can be applied on site, anywhere around the world.
The T-Strake features a unique modular design enabling more efficient transportation and installation and will also be available to view on stand. The innovative manufacturing process for T-Strake means they can be produced up to six times faster than systems manufactured using traditional techniques, ensuring shorter lead times.
