Trelleborg Tackles Born Survivor

born survivor

On Saturday 12th May, Trelleborg Offshore took on Born Survivor held at Capesthorne Hall in Greater Manchester.

Our team consisted of 11 Trelleborg Offshore employees based in Skelmersdale, UK, namely Jo Shailes and Karl Middleton from Marketing, Richard Beesley from Sales and Business Development, Steve Jones and Gary Warner from IT and ERP systems, Ray Parry and John Lacey from Manufacturing Excellence and Production, and Robert Knowles, Paolo Mondati, Remmi Agbebi and Joe James from Engineering and Innovation.

The event demonstrated how we work together to overcome challenges that are put in front of us. A 10 km run testing the fitness and stamina of those involved was interspersed with 30 grueling obstacles including monster walls, barbed wire crawls, long dark tunnels, icy water, and countless energy sapping mud trenches! This required strength, determination, and most importantly teamwork to allow us all to conquer the course.

There are lots of parallels between the challenge that we took on and our daily working lives. Many projects that we work on rely on the strengths of our individual employees within each department, successfully coordinated together as a team to maximize our performance, achieve deadlines and provide a quality product and service to our customers.

I believe this event was an intensive but enjoyable one for all those that took part with a real sense of morale and spirit shared between the team members. Most importantly, 2 charities were supported close to the hearts of our team:

Dementia UK - Find out more

Macmillan Cancer Support - Find out more

It is not too late to support these charities, please click on the links above!

Until next time! …
