Rigid Riser Ancillaries

Rigid Riser Ancillaries
We provide a range of riser accessories designed to complement the rigid Drill Riser Buoyancy Modules

We provide a range of riser accessories designed to complement the rigid Drill Riser Buoyancy Modules (DRBMs) so that we can provide you with a comprehensive level of support while ensuring a seamless installation of the riser system.

RiserGuard®
RiderGuard® is specifically designed to fit onto and protect bare joints and auxiliary lines from installation and handling damage. RiserGuard® is a bare or slick joint system consisting of a series of two piece half shells molded in the same external configuration as the buoyancy for each specific rig.

Stackable RiserGuard®
Stackable RiserGuard® is an available option when storage space is limited. In addition to providing the same protection as standard RiserGuard®, Stackable RiserGuard® enables the stacking of mixed dress riser joints. Buoyancy and Stackable RiserGuard® joints can be stacked together in the same deck storage area. Strategically spaced protective sections are spaced within the RiserGuard® that accept and transfer loads between the joints and deck storage area.

Stop Collars
Stop Collars are supplied to suit any designed riser as part of the main buoyancy contract or as replacement equipment. They are used to firmly hold the RiserGuard® in position axially on the riser joint.

Polykaptm (Pin & Box Protectors)

Polykap™ protectors prevent accidental damage during transportation and storage. They typically weigh less than 25kg and exhibit extremely high impact and abrasion resistance properties. Polykap™ also retains a low weight in air which ensures easy handling.

Riser Shims
Riser Shims aid bare or slick joints on critical areas of the riser joint during handling, stacking and storage operations. They are installed at intervals on the riser joint or Telescopic Joints constructed to the same external configuration as the buoyancy, facilitating the stacking of bare joints while also providing guidance and protection when being handled or run. Riser Shims do not provide full joint length protection, but offer an economic protective solution to facilitate handling operations.
