Cumberland Slider
The Cumberland Slider provides a safe and easy method of controlling cable bending with a known bend radius especially where cable length is subject to change, e.g. seismic vessels turning at sea. The cable is able to slide through the centre over a series of wear pad inserts which then allows it to find its own equilibrium helping to keep an even spread on multi cable systems.
The Cumberland Slider stabilises large multi cable towed array systems during turning and alignment manoeuvres.

Scope of supply: Load conditions - 5kN @ 55 degrees to 20kN @ 30 degrees. cable size 20 to 70mm.
