Trelleborg's Acquisition of Turkish Industrial Hose Company Finalized

Trelleborg, through its business area Trelleborg Industrial Solutions, has finalized the previously announced acquisition of Superlas Group - a global market leader in the development, manufacturing and distribution of high quality mandrel-built elastomer hoses for use in industrial applications.

Superlas has a large installed production capacity and a comprehensive portfolio of mandrel-built, medium and low pressure elastomer hoses for use in a range of industries, including construction and civil engineering, processing, industrial cleaning and tanker transportation.

Mikael Fryklund, President of the Trelleborg Industrial Solutions’ business area, says: “Central to our growth strategy, the acquisition of Superlas, which boasts global sales primarily across Europe and North America, confirms Trelleborg’s market leading position in industrial hoses in Europe. In addition, it facilitates the strengthening of our footprint and customer base in what is a highly attractive and profitable growth market for industrial hoses, North America.

Serving customers, now and in the future
“Superlas already holds significant expertise in industrial hoses across multiple industries and a comprehensive collection of mandrel-built hoses. We firmly believe that the addition of these elements to the Trelleborg brand will ensure that we are best placed to serve our increasingly global customer base, now and in the future.”

“By combining our expertise in the industrial hose industry, customers will benefit from a broader product portfolio at a greater value. The acquisition of Superlas aligns perfectly with Trelleborg’s ethos to establish a local ‘feet on the ground’ presence within the regions that our customers operate,” adds Patrick Pieret, President of Trelleborg Fluid Handling Solutions.
