Trelleborg’s molded components operation displays the original Forsheda mooring compensator for all types of boats and yachts at the Marine Equipment Trade Show in Amsterdam from 18 - 20 November 2014.
Patrik Silvén, Key Account Manager at Trelleborg’s molded components operation says: “Trelleborg is a specialist in polymer solutions in environments from space to seabed and everything in between, and we know what it takes to protect valuable assets. The properties of rubber have proven excellent in marine equipment and neither saltwater nor constant exposure to weather effect compensator life.
Trelleborg was the originator of high quality ozone-resistant EPDM rubber mooring compensators. Though we launched compensators some 40 years ago, they are still as relevant as they were when they were first invented. Experience over time has proven this successful concept, its design and material choices.”
Safe and long-lasting
The mooring compensators come in four different sizes to fit everything from small rowing boats to six ton sailing boats. With three turns of line, used in exposed moorings, the maximum force reaches 5000N (500kp) or a compensating length of 470 mm. They are produced in ozone resistant rubber for a safe and long-lasting mooring.
Trelleborg’s full range of mooring compensators will be displayed at the Marine Equipment Trade Show in Amsterdam on stand 09.112 in the Swedish pavilion between 18 and 20 November 2014.
