The 16th August 2017 marked the opening ceremony of the new offices of Trelleborg’s marine systems operation in Aarhus, Denmark and we were honored to have Trelleborg Offshore and Construction’s Business Area President, Fredrik Meuller and other members of the management teams, present to perform a ‘ribbon cutting’ ceremony.
The newly renovated office is located at Zenit Company House, a modern office building fully equipped with state-of-the-art offices and meeting facilities, electronics assembly areas and a canteen. It is situated in an optimal location in Aarhus with stunning views of the city and the bay, all the way to Samsø. The office building is also environmentally certified, which makes doing business more cost effective and sustainable.
Tommy Mikkelsen, managing director taking care of the navigation and piloting business commented: ‘The new office we’ve moved to is not only more accessible, it also provides more convenience with the various amenities nearby and a much more conducive working environment for our people. The location is close to the hub of technology companies in the City, such as Google and Uber, which fits well with the software development side of the SafePilot business, which my team and I are responsible for. We are very pleased with the facilities and amenities this new office has to offer and look forward to making this our new home.’
Trelleborg’s marine systems operation in Denmark employs 23 people, mainly focused on sales and development of the SafePilot navigation & piloting systems, which form an important part of the new SmartPort initiative, being launched by the marine systems operation.
