Conventional Buoy Mooring (CBM) or Multi Buoy Mooring (MBM)
Conventional Buoy Mooring (CBM) or Multi Buoy Mooring (MBM) is an offshore offloading solution used in moderate environment near to shore. CBM / MBM is a simple and reliable solution to import crude oil, refined petroleum products or LPG from a shuttle tanker to storage tanks or a refinery. This configuration consists to a steel pipeline connected to the onshore installation, a Pipeline End Manifold (PLEM) and a flexible submarine string on the seabed. Up to 20 meters water depth, the Tanker is moored using anchors and mooring buoys. The submarine line is lifted from the seabed by the tanker and connected to the manifold for the offloading operation. From 6” to 16” with a rated pressure up to 25 bar, Trelleborg proposes a full range of submarine hose type qualified according to OCIMF GMPHOM 2009 guidelines.
