Trelleborg transformed its Auvergne parking lot into a solar farm

 South-facing, with about 2000 sunshine hours a year, the lot was ideal for this kind of project.  Metallic structures are installed that generate shade for vehicles of visitors and staff and support 8300 square meters of photovoltaic modules.  The farm generates 1310 MWh of electricity a year. Besides reducing approximately 10 % of our annual consumption, it reduces our carbon footprint by 819 tons of CO2 a year. This project is one of the largest in the entire Auvergne region.
