Trelleborg Expands Rubber Lining Workshop In Australian Facility

Trelleborg’s engineered products operation has completed a major extension to its rubber lining workshop in Perth, Australia. The new facility offers a one-stop-shop for wear liner solutions for mining chutes, hoppers and general fabrication repair work.

Bruce Cage, Managing Director for Trelleborg’s engineered products operation in Australia, says: “At Trelleborg, our customer-focused approach ensures that we are continuously looking for ways to enhance our offering. It is essential that we are best placed to meet ever-growing customer demands, both in terms of capacity and developing innovative, cost-effective solutions that maximize productivity and wear protection, and reduce downtime in the harshest mining environments.”

The 4,500 square foot extension at the state-of-the-art workshop and premier dedicated rubber-lining workshop in Western Australia, has seen the addition of facilities including a sand blasting shed, a paint shed, an autoclave, a dedicated ceramic cutting, studding and fitting workshop, and a stock of high abrasion and chemical resistant sheet rubbers.

“The mining market is always evolving and our commitment to quality means we continuously keep pace with truly cutting-edge capabilities. The investment at our site in Perth will allow us to do just that, continuing to reinforce our position at the forefront of innovative systems and materials for use in all mining wear protection applications,” concludes Cage.
