Power Plants

Trelleborg Engineered Products has been the partner of choice for turn-key lining of cooling water systems in different power plants including coal, gas and even nuclear plants. Our staff is fully accredited to carry out this work. Rubber lining of cooling water systems is especially required when salt water is used.

Rubber remains the most versatile lining when it comes to protecting industrial plant and equipment against abrasion, impact, corrosion, chemical attack and material build up. Trelleborg rubber lining can protect any piece of equipment exposed to wear or aggressive environments.

Rubber linings are available in various types of natural rubber and synthetic rubbers and are available for various applications. Rubber linings are widely used as a protective coating against corrosion, to protect steel against chemical materials and as a wear-resistant layer. Rubber linings are used in piping systems and tanks used for the storage and transport of acids and alkali's but also in salt water cooling systems, desulphurization, pump housings, and agitators.

We find solutions to increasingly higher process temperatures and increasing life expectations. To realize that we are continuously developing new rubber compounds that meet these stringent requirements. One of the latest developments in this area is a new coating system that is able to be maintain protective properties, even at a high process temperature of 155 degrees Celsius.
