Trelleborg has operations in 43 countries. Of the total number of employees, 91 percent work outside Sweden.
The number of employees in the entire Group at year-end, including insourced staff and temporary employees was 20,629 (21,119), including employees in discontinued operations, who totaled 236 (2,220).
In 2010, the average number of employees in the Group decreased to 20,042 (20,073), of which the proportion of women was 25 percent (25). Refer also to Note 3 and the diagram.
Salaries and other benefits for the average number of employees (excluding insourced staff) amounted to SEK 5,972 M (6,082).
Personnel turnover (not taking terminations and retirements into consideration) varies among countries and plants, and often reflects the local labor situation. Personnel turnover was 7 (5) percent in 2010.
The majority of units show a personnel turnover of less than 5 percent.

The diagram shows the age structure and gender distribution of middle managers at management levels 3-5 in Trelleborg units. Level 3 corresponds to reporting to the Business Area President. The largest age categories are the 30-49 and 40-49 age brackets. The proportion of women is highest in the youngest age categories: 39 percent in the 20-29 age bracket, and 27 percent in the 30-39 age bracket. The proportion of women in senior management is 9 (8) percent, and the proportion of women on the Board of Directors is 29 (14) percent.
