Communication, lobbying and social media
One of the company’s central communication objectives is to promote Trelleborg’s role as a good corporate citizen and, in line with this, convey a relevant image of the operations.
Trelleborg’s communication is regulated by the company’s Communications Policy, which encompasses communication rules for the entire organization, including the stock market. Communication shall comply with applicable legislation, regulations and standards, be characterized by a close relationship with the company’s stakeholders and be founded on regular contact, clarity and good ethics.
Trelleborg participates in political decision-making processes to a limited extent only, but is active in various other contexts such as referral bodies and work related to industry-specific matters, such as membership of the rubber industry’s interest group ETRMA concerning applications of the chemical regulation REACH.
Trelleborg’s policy for employees’ participation in social media contains, on the same basis as communication in general, rules concerning ethical behavior for anyone who represents the company in channels such as blogs and social networks. Read more about Trelleborg and social media here.
