Trelleborg Automotive

Trelleborg Automotive is a world leader in the development and production of polymer-based components and systems used for noise and vibration damping in passenger cars and light and heavy trucks.

Organization and management system:

  • Net sales 2010: SEK 8,560 M (7,031)

  • Number of employees at year-end 2010: 6,595 (5,927)

  • 29 (37) production plants in Europe, North and South America and Asia.

  • 15 (25) plants have more than 150 employees and eight (nine) have more than 300 employees. The largest plant is located in Guarulhos (Brazil), with about 868 employees.

  • The head office is in Trelleborg, Sweden

  • 25 of 29 units hold ISO 14001 certification


Significant events in 2010:

  • ISO 14001 certification in Poix Terron, Rethel and Witry Les Reims in France

  • Safety@Work Blue Grading audits implemented at 24 plants

  • Reduced VOC emissions in Martorell (Spain), Guarulhos (Brazil) and Cerkesköy I (Turkey)

  • Reduced energy consumption due to conservation measures in Poix Terron (France), Benton Habor (US) and Carmi II (US)

  • Reduced water consumption in Sandusky (US), Breuberg (Germany) and Morganfield (US)

  • Improved waste management in Sandusky (US), Cerkesköy I (Turkey) and Carmi II (US)

  • Comprehensive revision of chemical management in pace with the implementation of European chemical regulation REACH.
