Trelleborg's Sustainability work focuses on aspects of sustainability that create long-term value, sharpen performance and really matter to our customers, employees and shareholders. By asking our stakeholders what they consider essential, Trelleborg has identified the most important aspects of concern to feature in our reporting.
Science Based Targets
In December 2023, Trelleborg received its validation for the Group’s carbon emissions reduction targets by the Science Based Targets initiative. The validation ensures that the work and progress towards reducing the company’s carbon emissions are presented transparently and in line with the Paris Agreements goal to limit global warming to 1.5°C.
With 2021 as base year, Trelleborg is committed to:
- Halve the direct and indirect CO2 emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2) by 2030
- Reduce CO2 emissions along the value chain (Scope 3) by 25 percent by 2030
