Trelleborg Sealing Solutions has a combined studies initiative running at its head office in Stuttgart, Germany. Four students have just joined, making the total number on the scheme 14.
The practical side of the new students’ education began in September 2016 at the Trelleborg Sealing Solutions European logistics center in Gärtringen and the theoretical side commences from October at the Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) in Stuttgart.
Josef Kuhn, a combined student since 2014 at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, says: "The combined study program at Trelleborg educates us both professionally and practically. During the program I had the opportunity to go and work at an international location, spending three months in Livorno, Italy, where I learned the global importance of the company."
Norbert Wartenberg, Director of Human Resources for Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Europe, says: "With over 40 years of experience, DHBW in Stuttgart is the ideal training partner for us. Since 2003, we have working together on the education of our students in both theory and practice, in order to prepare them for their daily work at Trelleborg."
The 14 combined studies students are being educated in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, economics, computer science, business administration and industrial engineering. After successful completion of training they will have the opportunity of working in Stuttgart.
The combined studies degree at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions offers students varied practical assignments and in-depth theoretical modules. Students have the chance of a three-month secondment abroad in a Trelleborg Sealing Solutions facility or office.
