Smartdock DAS Display Options
To meet the requirements of jetty operators, pilots and vessel masters, Smartdock includes several methods of conveying the data measured by the laser sensors.
Main Display Board
The main display board is installed on the jetty in a position where the readings can be seen easily from the vessel bridge. Distance and speed figures are visible from over 200 metres away and, if specified, the board can rotate to maintain an optimal angle to the vessel.
Hand-held Monitors
These portable units can be taken on board the vessel and receive the data over telemetry. They are small enough to fit in one hand.
Traffic Lights
Traffic lights are a lower-cost option to the main display board. A vertical arrangement of red, amber and green light, they indicate the speed of the vessel’s bow and stern when compared with pre-set limits.
Jetty Indicator
Smaller versions of the main display board, jetty indicators are designed to provide speed and distance information to the jetty crew. They are typically installed at the jetty head.
