RoRo and Ferries
Passenger safety is the first priority on RoRo and ferry berths. Running to fixed schedules, vessels operate in all weather conditions and place large demands on fenders and moorings. Ships are usually belted and can approach at high speed and large berthing angles. High speed vessels need soft, low-reaction fenders to protect their delicate hulls.

- Quick turn around needed
- High berthing speeds and large berthing angles
- Berths are intensively used
- Shape, size and condition of beltings can vary enormously
- Ships often have stern, slewed or side loading ramps
- Low speed manoeuvrability of ships can be poor
- Heavy end berthing on RoRo ramps can occur regularly
- Berths can be dedicated or multi-user
