Technical Product Manager - Senior NVH Engineer
The Business Unit Trelleborg Industrial Products is a part of the Business Area Trelleborg Engineered Systems. The business is run within seven Product Areas: Industrial Hose, Industrial AVS, Elastomer Laminates, Trelleborg Sigma, Vehicle Components, Mar-Con and Resonance Damping & Shaft Seals. In total, the Business Unit has app. 2 200 employees and an annual turnover of 330 MEUR.
Product Area Resonance Damping is expanding and we are presently looking to recruit a Technical Product Manager - Senior NVH Engineer to strengthen our sales organisation.
You will work closely with the customers in the early stages of the projects. In most cases you are the first one to go to the customer in new projects. Your task is to evaluate the NVH problem that the customer presents and give our technical support in finding a resonance damper solution.
You will be organised in the Sales and Marketing team and work together with the KAM and act as the technical link between the customer and our engineering team. Working field is mainly Europe as most European Automotive OEM’s and major Tier 1 suppliers are our customers but can occasionally also be US and Asia.
Location is flexible and can be either in the proximity of our engineering centre and production in Forsheda, Sweden, or close to major customers such as VCC in Gothenburg.

Main responsibilities:
- Evaluate NVH problems, preferably at the customer, to decide if a resonance damper is a potential solution and set up a specification for the damper. In this stage act as link between customer and our design & engineering team
- Evaluate the effect of our prototypes based on customer NVH studies
- Occasionally assist the customer in performing measurements or perform own measurements at customer site
- Responsible throughout the whole project for the specification and evaluation of the damper properties and customer discussions linked to this
- Act internally as “voice of the customer” during the design stage to ensure that customer specification and demands are met
- Perform technical presentations at customer NVH departments to promote our concepts and know-how.
- Participate in R&D projects
Experience and education required:
- Long work experience within Vehicle NVH area or similar
- NVH measurement experience
- Engineering Degree or similar
- Experience from resonance dampers would be beneficial
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are critical. Additional language skills would be beneficial
