Key Account Manager

The Business Unit Trelleborg Industrial Products is a part of the Business Area Trelleborg Engineered Systems. The business is run within seven Product Areas: Industrial Hose, Industrial AVS, Elastomer Laminates, Trelleborg Sigma, Vehicle Components, Mar-Con and Resonance Damping & Shaft Seals. In total, the Business Unit has app. 2 200 employees and an annual turnover of 330 MEUR.

 
 
Product Area Resonance Damping is expanding and we are looking to recruit a Key Account Manager to strengthen our sales organisation.
 
You will be organised in the Sales and Marketing team, responsible for a number of OEM and Tier 1 accounts. Working field is mainly Europe as most European Automotive OEM’s and major Tier 1 suppliers are our customers but can in the future also be US. As a KAM you will have a major impact on strategic decisions for the Product Area.
 
Your task is to manage and grow existing accounts as well as acquire new customers in co-operation with the Product Manager and the Engineering team. Close presence at the customers is essential to be successful. Main tasks are to find new business opportunities, make quotes, negotiate terms and to co-ordinate communication between the customer and our Engineering team in Forsheda, Sweden.
 
Location is flexible and can be either in the proximity of our engineering centre and production in Forsheda, Sweden, or close to major customers in Europe. Therefore your customers will be selected based on your location.

Main responsibilities:
  • Lead the sales activities to achieve set goals
  • Develop the customer relations through close presence at the customer
  • Find new business opportunities by visiting purchasing and technical departments
  • Perform presentations at different customer departments to promote our concepts and know-how.
  • Responsible for quotations and price negotiations with the customers
  • Responsible for profitability
  • Based upon Market needs initiate new R&D- or cost saving projects internally
 
Experience and education required:
  • Long work experience within sales or as “sales engineer”
  • Engineering Degree or similar
  • Experience from Vehicle NVH products would be beneficial
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are critical. Additional language skills would be beneficial
 
Personality:
  • Social skills
  • Customer oriented with fast response
  • Good communication- and negotiation skills
  • Personal planning to be able to manage many parallel activities/customers
  • Team player
