We are seeking qualified applicants for an Applications Engineer located at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Midwest Marketing Company in Lombard, IL.
Your working tasks
- Provide product selection and technical support to prospects, customers and sales personnel.
- Respond to technical questions regarding product performance and installation.
- Reviews all applications for completion and recommendations before sending to appropriate manufacturing source for design.
- Operate CAD system (NX5) for drawing generation.
- Preparation of product performance computations.
- Prepare proposal with TSS item number and drawing for customer quotation.
- Log and track projects through completion of engineering proposal.
- Represent Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Midwest as liaison to other Trelleborg divisions’ engineering departments to maintain continuity of standard practices, designs, and materials.
- Keep technically abreast of product developments/testing within Trelleborg and related industries.
- Solve field performance problems and develop installation techniques.
- Assist sales engineers with implementation of the technical part of the Trelleborg Sealing Solutions marketing plan.
- Provide technical support on joint sales calls with sales engineers.
- Provide technical seminars on product lines
- Prepare technical letters to be published on Trellnet.
- Generate technical sales tools, documents, and hardware to promote product lines.
- Assist in local trade shows.
Your profil
- Four year B.S. degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of two years work experience in a technical position.
- Specific construction/agriculture industry experience is a plus.
- Customer driven, assertive, and professional.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication.
