Installation
You can easily install Trelleborg sealing strips on windows and doors alike, no door or window is too old to be sealed.
Which kind of sealing profile you choose depends on where it will be placed and on the gap size. The profile should be large enough to seal without impeding the movement of the door.
EPDM or Silicone
If the a profile is too thin the gap will not be sealed and if the profile is too thick
it will make the windows, doors etc hard to close.
- Remove the old strip using an oil-free acetone to clean the surface. When it's completely dry you may proceed.
- Split the profiles
- Peel away part of the paper protecting the adhesive to start the fitting from above and downwards.
- Fit the new profiles in the same place as the old ones.
