Trelleborg Rubore pressure sensitive adhesives are of very high quality. The cold bond adhesives are also a very good noise damper and is used in certain installations not only for bonding, but also as an insulating material. The activating time is very short, which can save time in production.

Additional temperature can increase the bond ability. The strength of the bond increases during the first days after bonding by continues wet-out.
Trelleborg Rubore hot bond adhesives are specially developed for bonding shims to brake pads. The heat and pressure sensitive adhesives are extremely resistant to high temperature.

To optimize the bonding parameters tests have to be performed in actual production equipment for each type of pad / shim. It is possible to reduce the bonding time with up to 25-50% using correct parameters.

Trelleborg Rubore offers a wide range of shim / insulators as a clip-on solution. To use a shim without any adhesive the shim / insulator must have a mechanical fix.
We are only showing our "standard" type materials in this catalogue sector. In addition to these shim materials, we have more than 1000 development materials that could be requested if volumes support this.
