Trelleborg Offshore Boston, Inc. have been actively involved in the oil & gas, aerospace and military/defense markets for over 50 years and continues to support these industries from various manufacturing plants throughout the US.
The demanding and challenging markets where our products are utilised range from their use within the NASA space program, through to deepsea Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV's) operating at 7,000MSW (almost 23,000 feet) below sea level. Our Eccospheres® glass microspheres are used in a multitude of specialised subsea vehicles ranging from Alvin, the pioneering manned submersible best known for its discovery of the Titanic, through to various applications in the current US navy fleet of nuclear submarines.
Our products are also used throughout the aerospace industry. Their use spans both commercial and military aircraft. Trelleborg Offshore Boston products are favored because of their excellent strength to weight properties and are also used in conjunction with various coatings in military roles reducing radar detectability. Eccospheres® Glass Microspheres can also be found in jet engine vanes due to their ability to absorb vibrational energy and allowing air to be directed through engines via the optimum path.
We also operate in the growing Thermoforming Market. With an increased capacity and expanded Research and Development capability the company is well equipped to provide consistent, high quality materials to a range of customers in various applications including medical and packaging as well as syntactic foam plug assists. The company produces and works with a full range of thermoplastics and has a dedicated and experience sales support team.
