Remote Release

Remote release systems provide a method of quickly and easily releasing mooring lines when the vessel is due to leave the berth or in the event of an emergency.

Releasing the hooks from a remote location removes the need for jetty personnel to be close to the hook when a loaded mooring line is released. The risk of injury is therefore greatly reduced.

A console containing the release buttons can be located either on the jetty away from the hooks or in the jetty control room.
