Flexible Fuel Tanks have been manufactured by Dunlop GRG for more than 40 years. Our Flexible Fuel Tanks are deployed into many situations where distribution of fuel and water is required for operational and humanitarian needs. Our flexible tanks can also be used to collect oil spills and grey and black water from offshore facilities.
Dunlop GRG flexible fuel tanks are manufactured from specially developed rubber or PU coated textile materials which are specifically designed to give high abrasion and fuel resistance. Our products can withstand extremes of temperature and as a result are used in both tropical and arctic conditions.
We manufacture tanks to internationally recognised military specifications, using commercial rubber coated textile options and PU materials for the tanks construction. These variations in construction materials allow the flexible tanks to be used in many other temporary storage applications for liquid chemicals and slurries.
Both the military and humanitarian organisations use our fuel tanks for storage and for the distribution of large quantities of fuel quickly and into environments where it can be difficult to establish a metallic, more permanent type of fuel tank.
Both Dunlop GRG rubber and PU flexible fuel tanks are manufactured using controlled and proven methods of construction. The flexible rubber tanks are manufactured in accordance with British Defence Specification DGFLS 279 Issue 9 with the PU tanks following the requirements laid down in ATPD 2266 and MIL-T 52983.
