Pratik Patel
Pratik Patel has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Peoples Education Society Institute Of Technology (PESIT), Bangalore (India). He is also a American Society for Quality certified Black Belt in Six Sigma and has successfully completed two Six Sigma projects at Hampson Precision Automotive Pvt Ltd. Previously, Pratik has worked as a Design Engineer in the R & D department of a company manufacturing hydraulic components. ”Coincidentally, I was a customer for Trelleborg, using seals for the products I designed, and that is how I came to know about Trelleborg,” Pratik adds. “Regarding job opportunity at Trelleborg I came to know through a placement advertisement from PESIT”.
Currently, he is working as Project Coordinator in Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, Bangalore. “My first assignment at the company was to set-up a new IT office for Global Marketing Services (TSS).It was completed well within project timeline and the office set up was appreciated by none other than Peter Nilsson (President & CEO, Trelleborg Group) and Claus Barsoe (BA President, TSS)”. Presently he is coordinating the activities related to establishment of a new combined manufacturing and administration facility for TSS in Bangalore. “The new site will have state-of-the-art facilities in terms of production and office environment and hopefully will be a benchmark for other Trelleborg sites. This assignment has presented me with an opportunity to learn skills about project management and also to interact with people belonging to different technical and non technical fields thus helping me to gain knowledge about the same and become an allrounder.”
Pratik’s career ambitions are to add unparalleled value to the organization he works for, and to achieve excellence in profession, by application of knowledge and dedication. In the trainee program, he has learned that trust can be built by clarity in communications and giving due consideration to other’s ideas. “The training program gives us an opportunity to hone our leadership skills and work as a team. Also it gives us an excellent platform to interact with people from various cultures and backgrounds and helps us build up a large network of contacts within the Trelleborg group” Pratik adds.
His hobbies include playing cricket, badminton and PC games, reading novels, collecting coins, trying out different cuisines and travelling to new places.
