Peggy Gerdesius

Peggy Gerdesius studied Industrial Engineering and Management in Ilmenau (Germany) and graduated with a Diploma in September 2010. She specialized in technology and management of production. “During my studies I had internships and gained knowledge as a working student, mostly in companies working with metal. So, this is the first experience in the rubber field for me,” Peggy says.
As career ambition, she says: “I want to change the world of processes and improve the rubber business.” After her first six months in Germany she is now located in Modyn/France. Peggy’s project task is to stabilize the Polyurethane process. After an experience plan an experiment design was made, which includes to gather process parameters, define the most important ones, build parts by changing these parameters, test and validate the parts and find the best adjustments for high quality parts.
One of Peggy’s learnings from the trainee program are: “If you want/need something, you have to go out and get it on your own. At the same time, it is important to ask people for help.” Outside work, Peggys hobbies include sports, travelling and reading.
