Patrícia Oliveira
My name is Patrícia Oliveira, I am 31 years old and I was born in Portugal.
I completed my Chemical Engineer degree in the Science and Technology Faculty of the New University of Lisbon (Portugal), where later I joined the Materials and Catalysis research group and started my doctorate research work developing new materials/catalysts applied mainly in fine-chemicals oxidation reactions.
I finished my PhD in Chemical Engineering (specialty – Catalysis), in 2007. Later, I worked as a Post-Doctoral researcher, developing new processes and catalysts within “Hydrogen production for fuel-cell applications”.
In January 2009, I moved to Germany and joined the Trelleborg trainee program. I am located in the Automotive technical center in Höhr-Grenzhausen, where I am part of the Material Development Group.
Traveling is one of the things I enjoy doing on my free time. Seeing other countries and cultures is always an enriching experience. In addition, I spend my free time doing sports, reading, together with my friends and, of course, learning German.
The trainee program is a unique career opportunity, which gives me the opportunity to work with different organizations, people and cultures and, also to contribute to the company continuous growth and improvement.
